How can I be sure that the diamond I'm purchasing matches up with the grading report shown?

Unfortunately, you probably will never know if the diamond you're purchasing matches the grading report, unless you seek assistance. Only a trained graduate gemologist (G.G.) can evaluate a diamond's internal characteristics against its grading report to see if they match.

Some diamonds have their certificate number laser-inscribed on the girdle, which can be verified under magnification.
