IS THE EXTRA $507 WORTH IT?

You see two very similar diamonds online, but one is 0.01 carat larger and $507 more expensive. Should you buy the larger, more expensive diamond?

The additional 0.01 carat in Stone A is not worth the additional $507.

The size difference between Stone A and Stone B is completely indistinguishable to the naked eye. In fact, Stone B, at 1.31 carats, has an average diameter of 7.025, while the larger, more expensive diamond has a smaller diameter of 6.925. In addition, Stone B has excellent polish and symmetry, while Stone A has excellent polish but only very good symmetry.

Although diamond size is very important, don't pay for a size difference you can't even see!
